Nathan Cohen

My name is Nathan F. Cohen, I’m 21 years old and I’m from Los Angeles. I moved to Ventura from LA county summer of 2017 and I absolutely love it. Ventura is such a beautiful and diverse place. On weekends I like to do triathlons, so Ventura is a great place for me to train and ride my bike year round. I’m fortunate and blessed to be able to ride my bike and compete in triathlons all over the world as I work towards my goal of qualifying for the Olympics in 2024. I really believe life is better on a bike. I can hardly imagine my life without my bike.

I think the bike is an incurable tool for change. I strongly believe in taking care of the planet because its the only one we’ve got so far. And if more people road bikes instead of driving the air would be cleaner and people would be happier. I also believe that riding bikes is incredibly beneficial for our youth. I’ve been riding bikes for as long as I can remember and I have so many good memory’s growing up riding bikes. Just the freedom riding a bike gives is so amazing I think everyone should know how to ride a bike and have access to one.
At the Hub I would love to get more kids riding because they are the future. If kids grow up loving bikes then we will eventually have politicians and voters who want to make the world a more bike friendly place. I really want to introduce kids to more cycling sports that they may not know about. Like track cycling, mountain biking, BMX track, and cyclocross. I think that would be pretty rad. “
